More than 2.5 million people in state fully vaccinated against coronavirus

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported an additional 1,179 confirmed COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the statewide total to 645,867 since the start of the pandemic.State health officials also added 16 confirmed COVID-19-related deaths to the state’s total, which is now 17,259.So far, about 7.17 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been shipped to Massachusetts, of which 85.0% have been administered.
