Lawrence hospital says nearly 600 doses of Johnson & Johnson vaccine were wasted – KMBC Kansas City

Lawrence Memorial Hospital said that nearly 600 doses of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine were wasted.The hospital said it happened during a transfer from the Douglas County Health Department.Staffers placed the doses in a freezer, but the doses had already been thawed. Johnson & Johnson told the hospital that the doses would need to be discarded.Health officials are working on finding some replacement doses.
