Georgia reports more than 3,600 new COVID-19 cases, nearly 100 additional deaths

In the past day, health officials in Georgia have confirmed more than 3,600 new COVID-19 cases.

The Department of Public Health in Georgia confirmed more than 3,600 new COVID-19 cases on Friday.

Friday saw 3,620 new confirmed cases and 1,531 Antigen positive cases.

That brings the statewide total to 766,604 confirmed cases and 166,308 Antigen positive cases.

Georgia is also reporting 13,146 confirmed deaths, an increase of 98 in the past day, and 51,479 hospitalizations, an increase of 232.

As of 3 p.m., February 5th, there have been 34,951 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in residents of the Coastal Health District and 595 deaths.

  • Camden: 2,858 cases, 24 deaths
  • Chatham: 16,994 cases, 304 deaths
  • Effingham: 3,224 cases, 47 deaths
  • Glynn: 5,962 cases, 137 deaths
  • Liberty: 2,514 cases, 41 deaths
  • Long: 600 cases, 9 deaths
  • McIntosh: 552 cases, 10 deaths
