Appointments for the next week at Clark County’s COVID-19 mass vaccination site will open up at noon Sunday.
Those who are eligible to be vaccinated can attempt to book an appointment here.
Right now, anyone 65 and older is eligible for vaccination, as well as anyone 50 and older who lives in a multigenerational household. Health care workers, those living in senior care facilities and emergency medical personnel are also eligible for vaccination. To find out if you are eligible, you can visit the state’s Phase Finder tool.
If you need assistance booking an appointment, you can call the COVID-19 hotline at 1-800-525-0127, then press #. Language assistance is available. There are generally long wait times for the hotline.
About 800 appointments are available each day at the mass vaccination site located at the Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds near Ridgefield. The site is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
In its first two weeks, 6,702 people have received a vaccine dose at the site. That’s well above the originally expected pace of 500 vaccinations per day.
Many residents have experienced problems with the appointment portal to book vaccinations such as the website glitching, freezing or crashing.
If you can’t book an appointment at the fairgrounds, you can browse other locations through the Department of Health website. Many locations have little vaccine supply and it is difficult to book an appointment.
Some people who are eligible may have to wait several weeks for a vaccine shot.
